Then what fear can invasion impress on the mind,
If, Britons, for ever united we stand,

While our brave volunteers, in true valour combin'd,
Step forward to fight for our dear native land?
With such guardians as these let the boasters appear,

Shall we ere yield to Frenchmen? oh, Englishmen, never! For this adage remains, &c.

Then a health to our fleets, which our island surround,
Success to their Admirals, courageously brave;
With their actions of valour the heavens resound,
The deeds of our navy, our country to save.
Approbation this toast from each Briton must meet,
Prosper well ev'ry Englishman's loyal endeavour;
May God save the King, his army, and fleet,
The tough Wooden Walls of Old England for ever.

SONG. Miss BOLTON.

Angels, ever bright and fair,
Take, O take me to your care!
Speed to your own courts my flight,
Clad in robes of virgin white.

SONG. Mr. ELLIOTT.

'Twas at night when the bell had toll'd twelve,

And poor Susan was laid on her pillow,
In her ear whisper'd some flitting elve,
"Your love is now toss'd on a billow".
Far, far at sea.

All was dark, as she woke out of breath,
Not an object her fears could discover;
All was still as the silence of death,
Save fancy, which painted her lover-

Far, far at sea.

So she whisper'd a pray'r, clos'd her eyes,
But the phantom still haunted her pillow;
Whilst in terror she echoed his cries,
As struggling he sunk in a billow-

Far, far at sea.

CONCERTO, Clarionet. Mr. J. HALDON.

SONG. Miss BOLTON.

Ombra del caro bene

Ah non chiamar mi infida

Fida ti, amai, e fida

Verro fra l'ombre ancor

Tiranna a te mi rese

Una pieta fedele

Mi rese a te crudele

Un infelice amor.

CHORUS,

Galatea, dry thy tears,

Acis now a God appears;

See how he rears him from his bed,
See the wreath that binds his head:
Hail! thou gentle murmuring stream,
Shepherd's pleasure, muse's theme,
Thro' the plains still joy to rove,
Murmuring still thy gentle love.

Handel.

SONG. Miss HAINES.

Handel.

Where'er you walk cool gales shall fan the glade,
Trees where you sit shall crowd into a shade;
Where'er you tread the blushing flow'rs shall rise,
And all things flourish where you turn your eyes.

SONG. Mr. ELLIOTT.

Tears, such as tender fathers shed,
Warm from my aged eyes descend,
For joy, to think when I am dead,

My son shall have mankind his friend.

GLEE.

Come unto these yellow sands,

And then take hands,

Curt'sied when you have, and kist;

(The wild waves whist ;)

Foot it featly here and there,

And, sweet sprites, the burthen bear.

Hark! hark! the watch dogs bark;

Hark! I hear the strain of Chanticleer.

Viotti.
