Senate Bill No. 145 (file No. 108), entitled A bill to require the bonding of persons, firms and corporations engaged in the business of soliciting accounts for collection or in the collection of accounts and to provide a penalty for the violation of this act,

Was read a third time, and, the question being on its passage,

Mr. DeBoer moved to amend the bill by inserting in line 5 of section 1 after the word "sureties" the words "said bond to be approved by the prosecuting attorney or circuit judge of the county where such collection agency is located." The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted, a majority of all the members-elect voting therefor.

The bill was then passed, a majority of all the members-elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:

Senate Bill No. 214 (file No. 211), entitled

A bill to amend section 6 of Act No. 2 of the Public Acts of 1925, entitled "An act to prescribe a privilege tax for the use of the public highways by owners or drivers of motor vehicles by imposing a specific tax upon the sale or use, within the State of Michigan, of gasoline as defined herein; prescribing the manner and the time of paying and collecting such tax and the duties of officials and other persons respecting such payment and collection; providing for the registration of dealers as defined herein; providing for certain exemptions and refunds, and for the disposition of the proceeds of such tax; and prescribing penalties for violation of this act", approved January 29, 1925,

Was read a third time and passed, a majority of all the members-elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:

The House agreed to the title of the bill.

Mr. Evans moved that the bill be given immediate effect.

The motion prevailed, two-thirds of all the members-elect voting therefor.

Senate Bill No. 228 (file No. 226), entitled

A bill to create a district or refuge in Ingham County to be known as "Pine Lake Wild Life Sanctuary" in which it shall be unlawful to kill, catch, or destroy any wild game animals, wild game or song birds, their offspring or eggs, and to protect fish in any breeding ponds that may be constructed for that purpose and to provide a penalty for the violation thereof,

Was read a third time and passed, a majority of all the members-elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:

Mr. McKenzie moved that the bill be given immediate effect.

The Speaker pro tem ruled the motion not in order, for the reason that the bill did not come under any provision of the Constitution permitting a bill to be given immediate effect.

Senate Bill No. 197 (file No. 206), entitled A bill to prescribe the powers and duties of the Director of Conservation in connection with the enforcement of the game and fish laws,

Was read a third time, and, the question being on its passage,

Mr. Harris moved to amend the bill by striking out of line 7 of section 2 the word "said" and lines 8 to 15 inclusive, down to and including the word "cases".

The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted, a majority of all the members-elect voting therefor.

Mr. Ming moved to reconsider the vote by which the House adopted the amendment offered by Mr. Harris.

Mr. DeBoer moved that the bill be laid on the table.

The motion prevailed.

A bill to authorize and empower the State Administrative Board to hear and determine claims of persons injured or damaged by reason of negligenc in the construction, improvement or maintenance of trunk line highways.

The motion prevailed.

The title as amended was then agreed to.

A bill to amend section 18 of chapter 1 of part 4 of Act No. 84 of the Public Acts of 1921, entitled "An act to provide for the organization, regulation and classification of domestic corporations; to prescribe their rights, powers, privileges and immunities; to prescribe the conditions upon which corporations may exercise their franchises; to provide for the inclusion of certain existing corporations within the provisions of this act; to prescribe the terms and conditions upon which foreign corporations may be admitted to carry on business within this State; to prescribe penalties for violations of the provisions of this act; and to repeal certain acts and parts of acts relating to corporations," approved April 26, 1921,
