Contained :-supplements called 'The Streets of London' (incorporated in The Town, No. 57) - articles called 'The Week' - 'Birthdays of Eminent Men'-'Romances of Real Life' (reprinted 1843, No. 73)—much material for 'The Seer,' Men, Women, and Books,' 'Imagination and Fancy,' 'Wit and Humour.

About this Launcelot Cross wrote a delightfully enthusiastic little book, called Characteristics of Leigh Hunt, 1878.]

10. THE MONTHLY REPOSITORY. July, 1837March, 1838.

[Originally a magazine in the Unitarian interest, but made unsectarian by L. H.'s editorial predecessors W. J. Fox and R. H. Horne. Here first appeared The Blue-Stocking Revels.]

II. LEIGH HUNT'S JOURNAL, a miscellany for the cultivation of the memorable, the progressive, and the beautiful. Dec. 7th, 1850-March 29th, 1851.

[First intended to be called Leigh Hunt's London Magazine. Here appeared Lovers' Amazements, and the Streets of London were continued.]

[Theatrical Criticisms, probably when L. H. was writing for his friend Barnes, who afterwards became managing editor: about 1807.]

17. THE NEW MONTHLY MAGAZINE. From its first appearance in 1821 till 1850.

[Essays and poems over signatures H., Robin Goodfellow, Misocrotalus, many without any signature, and some with his name attached.

In 1825, The Family Journal, signed H. H., i.e. Harry Honeycomb, who is supposed to be a de

scendant of Will Honeycomb of Spectator memory. Here occur the "imaginary conversations of Pope and Swift," reprinted at the end of Table Talk.

In 1826 and 1827, Some Specimens of a dic-tionary of Love and Beauty (7 papers).

L. H. thought of reprinting some of the signed poems that appeared in 1835 and 1836 under the general title of The Fabulous World, but this project was abandoned.
