The Act creating the Appellate Court requires these courts to write opinions only in cases where the judgments or decrees of the conrts below are reversed and the causes remanded. This accounts for the opinions in this volume being, with a few exceptions, in cases where the judgments below were reversed by the Appellate Courts. See Hurd's Revised Statutes, 1881, page 335.
