Hark! hark !
The dogs do bark,
Some in rags,
Some in tags,
SONG OF THE DAYS.
How many days has my baby to play?
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
THE NORTH WIND DOTH BLOW.
The north wind doth blow,
He'll sit in the barn
And keep himself warm,
THREE CHILDREN SLIDING ON THE ICE.
Three children sliding on the ice,
Upon a summer's day ;
The rest they ran away.
A BIRD SONG.
Once I saw a little bird
Come hop, hop, hop;
Will you stop, stop, stop ?”
And was going to the window
To say “How do you do ?”
And far away he flew.
IN APRIL'S SWEET MONTH.
In April's sweet month,
A SWARM OF BEES.
A swarm of bees in May
A LITTLE GIRL.
Elisabeth, Elspeth, Betsey, and Bess,
LITTLE BOY BLUE.
Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn,
Little Bo-peep has lost her sheep,
And can't tell where to find them, Leave them alone, and they'll come home,
And bring their tails behind them.
Little Bo-peep fell fast asleep,
And dreamt she heard them bleating; But when she awoke, she found it a joke,
For still they all were fleeting.
Then up she took her little crook,
Determined for to find them ; She found them, indeed, but it made her heart bleed,
For they'd left their tails behind them.
BA-A, BA-A, BLACK SHEEP.
Ba-a, ba-a, black sheep, have you any wool ?
A PLEASANT DAY.
Come, my children, come away,
See the little lambs at play
Bring the hoop and bring the ball;
MISTRESS MARY, QUITE CONTRARY.
“ Mistress Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow ?”
And pretty maids all in a row.”
