A Treatise on Algebra ...

Portada
Scripta mathematica, Yeshiva college, 1940 - 455 páginas
In this work, arithmetical algebra has been separated from symbolical algebra. The first volume is devoted entirely to the exposition of the principles of arithmetical algebra, and the application of these principles to the theory of numbers and of arithmetical processes. The second volume embraces the principles of symbolical algebra, which adopts the rules of arithmetical algebra, but removes their restrictions. The results of symbolical algebra are generalizations of form, primarily forms of demonstration.
