Mr. Joseph Baily asked and obtained leave of absence for Mr. Collins for a few days from Monday.

A motion was made by Mr. Bigler, That the orders of the day be portponed, and that the Convention proceed to the second reading and consideration of the article (No. 2) reported from the Committee on Legislature. Which was not agreed to.

Mr. Kaine offered the following resolution, which was read, viz: Resolved, That when this Convention adjourns on Tuesday next, it will adjourn to meet at twelve o'clock M., on Tuesday, September the 16th, 1873.

On the question, Will the Convention proceed to the second reading and consideration of the resolution?

The yeas and nays were required by Mr. Dallas and Mr. Harry White, and were as follow, viz:

So the question was determined in the negative. ABSENT.-Messrs. Mr. J. N. Purviance offered the following resolution, which was read, viz: Resolved, That hereafter, and until otherwise ordered, sessions of the Convention shall be held on Saturdays from 94 o'clock A. M., to 1 P. M.
