HE PROVIDENT LIFE AND TRUST COM

PANY OF PHILADELPHIA will receive and

execute TRUSTS of every description, acting as

EXECUTOR, ADMINISTRATOR GUARDIAN OF MINORS, TRUS. TEE OF MARRIED WOMEN, and as TREASURER OF RELIG

IOUS AND CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS AND CORPORATIONS.

The SECURITY afforded by the AMPLE CAPITAL of this Company, the constant supervision of its affairs by competent Directors, and its convenience of Location render its employment for the purposes named above peculiarly advantageous. Among many reasons that may be suggested for preferring a Company such as this over an individual, for the execution of Trusts, we name the following:

1.-The Trustee continues unchanged until the termination of the Trust.

2. Greater security and protection are offered to the cestui que trust or beneficiary.

3. When investments are made, an order of the Court requires the Company to mark them with the specified name of the Trust.

4. Every account is kept entirely distinct and separate, which is not always the case under individual management.

5. The residence of the Trustee cannot be materially changed, when such Trustee is a corporation; neither can the Trust be subject to neglect or oversight resulting from absence or sickness.

The new Safe Deposit Vaults of the Company, with the latest devices for security and convenience, have been completed and are open for inspection. Boxes rented at $5 and upwards.

Office:

No. 409 Chestnut Street,

THE relations of the two departments of the business are fixed by the provisions of the charter. The entire surplus in the Insurance Department accumulates for the benefit of the Policyholders. The only advantage, direct or indirect, which the stockholders of this company can at any time have from the union of the two features of their business results from the fact that the management of Trusts, from which they derive their profits, is done for them without charge. The accounts of the Insurance and Trust Departments are kept entirely distinct and separate.
