Rom. xiii. 1, 5-7, Let every soul be subject' unto the higher powers'; for there is no power' but of God: the powers that be' are ordained of God. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due': custom' to whom custom'; fear' to whom fear; honour to whom honour'. Tit. iii. 1, Put them in mind to be subject to principalities' and powers', to obey magistrates', to be ready' to every good work'.

9. Let not then your good' be evil spoken of. Let us, therefore, follow after the things which make for peace', and things wherewith one may edify another'. Rom. xv. 1, We then that are strong ought to bear the

upon your wrath`;

infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves'. Eph. iv. 25-32, Wherefore, putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour': for we are members' one of another'. Be ye angry', and sin not'; let not the sun go down Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more`; but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good', that he may have to give to him that needeth'. Let no corrupt communication' proceed out of your mouth', but that which is good' to the use of edifying', that it may minister grace' unto the hearers.
