Excerpt from The New American Arithmetic, in the Coin of the United States, Denominated, Federal Money: Being a Plain and Easy Method of Computing by Numbers, Particularly Adapted to the Capacity of Youth, Illustrated and Simplified for the Use of Academies and Schools in the United States
