Broten and HalvorsonPaul Broten, son of Anton E. Finbraaten and Indiane A. Halvorsdatter, was born 1 May 1895 in Eidsvoll, Norway. Magnhild Halvorson, daughter of Ed Halvorson and Mary Johnson, was born 30 June 1897 in Port Wing, Wisconsin. Paul immigrated to Ashland, Wisconsin in 1913. Paul and Magnhild were married in Duluth, Minnesota in 1916. Their children were Evelyn Arlene, Myron Iver, Genevieve Ann, Vivian June, Luella Correnne, Paul, and Carol Marie. Their descendants lived in Wisconsin, Arizona, Washington, Minnesota, Virginia, Massachusetts, Arkansas, New Mexico and elsewhere. |
