The author afterwards seems to consider God as the interior of the cubical universe (Homil. XVII, p. 722724, Coteler.)

St. Melito, bishop of Sardis about A. D. 175, maintained, as afterwards Tertullianus did, that God is corporeal. (vid. Coteler. p. 428, nott. in Patres Apostolicos).
