Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts,
Philadelphia. The bequest of Mrs. Joseph
Harrison. Charles Henry Hart says: "This
is the latest portrait of Franklin from life.
It was painted during the sittings of the con-
vention to frame the Constitution of the
United States. The portrait seems to ex-
press the individuality of the man more
satisfactorily than any other of Franklin's
portraits."
