Pooley Bridge is most centrally situate for the neighbouring sceneries, viz: Haweswater, Keswick, Bowness, Windermere, &c., and is only half-an-hour's ride, by boat or carriage, to the celebrated waterfall, Airey Force, and six miles distant from the Penrith Railway Station.

By the kind permission of the Right Hon. the Earl of Lonsdale, and the Right Hon. Lord Brougham and Vaux, all visitors to the Sun Hotel, Pooley Bridge, have the privilege of visiting Lowther Castle and Brougham Hall, -two of the finest seats in the north of England.

The fishing being now preserved in the lake Ullswater, parties can always rely on a good day's sport, and the grounds imme. diately adjoining the Sun Hotel command extensive and romantic scenery. N.B.

Post Horses, Carriages, Pleasure Boats, &c., may always be relied upon.

Wines &c. of the first quality, direct from Sandiman & Co. The Mail arrives daily at 8 a.m., and departs at 3 30 p.m. A Coach passes from and to Penrith daily during summer months.

Parties going from Penrith to Keswick by way of Lyulph's Tower, will save a distance of eight miles by changing horses at the Sun Hotel, Pooley, instead of Patterdale, and avoid travelling one route twice over.

The Steamboat goes round the lake from the Hotel three times a-day; and the Omnibuses run three times a-day from Pooley to Penrith and from Penrith to Pooley Bridge.
