1 Kings xiv. 9. Thou haft done evil, more than all that were before thee; i. e. the moft evil.

22. Judah did evil, more than all that their fathers had done; i. e. the most evil. Comp. ver. 23, 24.

2 Chron. xi. 21. Rehoboam loved Maachah more. than all his wives and his concubines.

Jer. xvii. 9. The heart is deceitful, more than all things, and N, defperately wicked; who can know it? The Latin tranfl. of the Arabic is, cor omni re magis profundum, eft humanum; quis illud agnofcat? Sept. Βάθεια η καρδια παρα πανία και ανθρωπος εστι, και τις γνωσέζαι αυτον. Parkhurst fays, I do not find that I ever denotes wickedness at all. Referring to Jer. xvii. 9, he renders it bad; i. e. infirm, weak, frail, as the heart of man.

Adding to TN, increases the Force.

Repeating the Noun to which TD is added, increafes the Force.
