RESOLUTION

Relative to the claim of Edmund Burke.

Resolved by the Senate aud House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, That the canal commissioners are hereby authorized to settle authorized to the claim of Edmund Burke, late contractor on Ligonier line of to settle the the Pennsylvania canal, on fair and equitable principles, and claim of E. if any thing shall be found due him, to draw their warrant ou the treasury for the sum awarded,

RESOLUTION

For the relief of Hugh and Patrick M'Ginley.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, That it shall be the duty of the canal commissioners to examine the claim of Hugh and Patrick M'Ginley for constructing the lower towing path section of the West Branch division of the Pennsylvania canal, and to allow them such compensation, if any, as in their judgment shall appear to be justly due, and if necessary, to examine papers and witnesses in relation to said claim.

Resolved, That the canal commissioners be instructed to cause an estimate to be made of the expenses of bailing and making a coffer dam at the out-let locks No. 9 and 10, Juniata made,&c. and division, Pennsylvania canal, incurred by James S. Espy, settle, &c. contractor, in constructing said locks according to the agree

ment between the principal engineer and said contractor, and that the said work be settled for in the usual way.

RESOLUTION

For the relief of William and Joseph Dilworth, and Lewis S. Coryell.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, That the canal commissioners are hereby authorized to reassess the damage sustained by William and Joseph Dilworth and Lewis S. Coryell, of Bucks county, by the construction of the Delaware division of the Pennsylvania canal, through their premises, and that the said William and Joseph Dilworth, and Lewis S. Coryell, have the right to appeal to the board of appraisers the same as if no proceedings had been had in the case.
