The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon each person, and the name of such person. 1874. October 9. Thomas Hynes was struck by a car of the Greenpoint line, receiving serious injuries; the driver of the car was discharged. November 5. George W. Everett was slightly injured by a team of horses owned by this company, which ran away from the driver on Fulton street. November 10. Edward Ralph, in attempting to reach a car of the Greenpoint line, was struck by a car of the same line going in an opposite direction; his injuries resulted in an amputation of one leg. November 21. John Van Pelt, in attempting to reach the front platform of a car of the Court Street line, while the car was in motion, injured a leg by falling on the pavement. November 22. Timothy Dixon was caught between two cars at the Fulton ferry, and two of his ribs were broken. 1875. February 10. Avenue line, and February 18. Edward Coughlin, a conductor, employed by this company, was caught between two cars, breaking his collar-bone. March 12. James L. Grant fell from the front platform of a car of the Flushing Avenue line, receiving injuries from which he died. Edward White was run over by a car on the Fulton seriously injured. May 16. Wm. N. Chase was thrown from a car of the Greenpoint line, receiving slight injuries. May 31. Mrs. S. Valentine fell from a car of the Greenpoint line, receiving slight injuries. August 17. G. Duck fell from a car of the Fulton Avenue line, when the same was in motion, receiving injuries from which he died. September 7. John Doherty fell from a car of the Flushing Avenue line, when the same was in motion, receiving injuries to one of his feet of a serious nature.
