PUBLIC GENERAL ACTS

CHAPTER 1.

An Act for Granting to His Majesty Certain Sums of Money for the Public Service for the Fiscal Years ending respectively the Thirty-first day of December, 1925, and the Thirty-first day of December, 1926, and from the first day of January, 1927, up to the date of the final passage of the Estimates for the Fiscal Year ending the Thirtyfirst day of December, 1927.

Most Gracious Sovereign:

W WHEREAS it appears by Messages from His Honour Preamble William Egbert, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Alberta, and the Estimates accompanying the said Messages, that the sums hereinafter mentioned are required to defray certain expenses of the Public Service of Alberta not otherwise provided for during the financial periods ending respectively the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and for other purposes relating thereto :

May it therefore please Your Majesty that it may be enacted and be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as "The Appropriation Act, Short title 1926."

2. Appropriation 4. From and out of the General Revenue Fund there may Schedule Cbe paid and applied a sum not exceeding in the whole six million, five hundred and sixty-one thousand, six hundred and three dollars towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the Public Service from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, up to the date of the final passage of the Estimates for the fiscal year ending the thirty-first day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, not otherwise provided for and set forth in Schedule C to this Act.

Accountability for expenditures

Coming into force of Act

5. The due application of all moneys expended under this Act shall be accounted for.

6. This Act shall come into force upon the day upon which it is assented to.
