CHAPTER 26. An Act to amend The Municipal Hospitals Act. (Assented to April 8, 1926.) HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as "The Municipal Hospitals Short title Act Amendment Act, 1926." (2b) added 2. IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as "The Treasury Department Short title Act Amendment Act, 1926." 2. The Treasury Department Act, being chapter 12 of the Section 29 Revised Statutes of Alberta, 1922, is amended as to section amended 29 thereof by striking out the words "in public securities of the Dominion of Canada, or of the Province, or in securities guaranteed by the Province or in the debentures of the school districts in the Province" and substituting therefor the words "in stock, debentures or securities of the Government of the Dominion of Canada or of any of the Provinces of Canada or in any debentures or securities the payment of which is guaranteed by the Government of the Dominion of Canada, or of any of the Provinces of Canada, or in debentures of any city, town, village, municipal district, school district or municipal hospital district in the Province." 3. HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as "The Savings Certificates Act Short title Amendment Act, 1926." added 2. The Savings Certificates Act, being chapter 43 of the Section 8 Revised Statutes of Alberta, 1922, is amended by adding thereto as section 8, the following: "8. Notwithstanding any provision in any other Act of the Province, the Provincial Treasurer may invest in Provincial Savings Certificates, any funds held in trust by the Province in a bank, or elsewhere and not presently required." force of Act 3.
