The following is the conference report: The Committee of Conference on the matters of difference between the two Houses relative to Senate Bill No. 284 (file No. 289), entitled A bill to provide certain requirements in written instruments conveying or mortgaging real estate or any interest therein, to entitle the same to record, and repealing Act No. 79 of the Public Acts of 1915, Having met and considered the matters of difference, have agreed to recommend, and do recommend, as follows: That the Senate recede from its disagreement to amendment numbered 1 which amendment reads as follows: (1) Amend by striking out of line 4 of section 1 all after the word "single" and all of lines 5, 6, 7, and 8 down to and including the word "legible." And agree to same amended to read as follows: (1) Amend section 1 by inserting in line 4 after the word "single" the following: "The names of all parties executing any such instrument, the names of the witnesses signing the same and the name of the person signing the certificate of acknowledgment thereon, shall, in addition to being written thereon, be either typewritten, printed or stamped thereon in such a manner as to be plainly legible before the recording thereof." And that the House agree to said amendment as thus amended.
