CLERICAL, MEDICAL, and GENERAL LIFE AS

SURANCE SOCIETY.—INVALID LIVES.

early in the year 1824, originated the plan of granting Policies on the In addition to the ordinary Assurance of Healthy Lives, this Society, Lives of Persons more or less deviating from the standard of health. Having issued one-fourth of the whole number of Policies on Lives of that description, the Board have recently caused a careful investigation into this branch of the business to be made. The result of this investigation has proved highly satisfactory as to the past, and encouraging for the future. The data, derived from long experience in this class of cases, and exclusively available by this Society, enable the Directors to state with confidence their conviction that the system now adopted by them for assuring Invalid Lives is as safe and beneficial as that upon which the scale for Healthy Lives is constructed.
