The Committee on Executive Business, to whom was referred the following nomination to office by the Governor:

George D. Gillespie, of Grand Rapids, Kent county, as a member of the State Board of Corrections and Charities, for the term of eight years from and including the first day of January, 1901;

Respectfully report that they have had the same under consideration, and have directed me to report the same back to the Senate, with the recommendation that the Senate advise and consent to the said nomina tion to office.
