And on the part of His Majesty the King of Wirtemberg, MajorGeneral de Neuffer, Grand Cross of his Civil Order of Merit, Commander of His Military Order of Merit, Commander of the Imperial Austrian Order of Leopold, a Member of the French Royal Order of the Legion of Honour, and his Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Court of His Britannic Majesty ;

Having met and exchanged their respective Full Powers, found

II. Les 2 Hautes Parties Contractantes sont convenu de nommer, et elles nomment par la Présente, comme Commissaires de la dite Dot de Sa Majesté la Reine Douairière de Wirtemberg, dans les places des 3 Commissaires défunts, comme ci-dessous, savoir:

in good and due form, have agreed upon the following Articles;

ART. I. His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and His Majesty the King of Wirtemberg, confirm by these Presents, in the most ample manner, and without reserve, and in conformity to the desire of Her Majesty the Queen Dowager of Wirtemberg, all Acts whatsoever made in virtue of the Treaty of Marriage, concluded at London the 3rd of May, 1797, between His Serene Highness Frederick William, Hereditary Prince of Wirtemberg, and Her Royal Highness Charlotte Augusta Matilda, Princess Royal of England, as well by the 3 Commissioners deceased above-named, as by the 2 surviving Commissioners, the Right Honourable William Wyndham, Lord Grenville, Peer of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and Sir John Cox Hippesley, Bart. Member of the British Parliament, collectively and individually.

II. The 2 High Contracting Parties have agreed to name, and they name by these Presents, as Commissioners for the said Dowry of Her Majesty the Queen Dowager of Wirtemberg, in the room of the 3 Commissioners deceased, as follows, viz :

His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the Right Honourable Robert Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, and his Principal Secretary of State for the Department of Foreign Affairs,

&c. &c. &c. et le Sieur Herbert Taylor, Secrétaire Intime de Sa dite Majesté, et Général Major de ses Armées;

Et Sa Majesté le Roi de Wirtemberg, le Général Major de Neuffer, &c. &c. &c. son Envoyé Extraordinaire et Ministre Plénipotentiaire près Sa Majesté Britannique;

Et elles accordent mutuellement aux dits Commissaires, tant aux 2 survivans qu'aux 3 nommés par la Présente, tous les Pouvoirs et fouctions nécessaires pour la pleine et entière exécution du Traité de Mariage, conclu à Londres le 3 Mai, 1797, entre Son Altesse Sérénissime le Prince Héréditaire de Wirtemberg, et Son Altesse Royale la Princesse Royale d'Angle

&c. &c. &c., and Herbert Taylor, Esq., Private Secretary of His said Majesty, and Major-General of his Armies;

And His Majesty the King of Wirtemberg, Major-General De Neuffer, &c. &c. &c. his Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Court of His Britannic Majesty;

And they mutually grant to the said Commissioners, as well to the 2 surviving as to the 3 named by these Presents, all the Powers and functions necessary for the full and entire execution of the Treaty of Marriage, concluded at London the 3rd of May, 1797, between His Serene Highness the Hereditary Prince of Wirtemberg, and Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal of England.

III. The present Additional Articles shall have the same force and validity as the Treaty itself, and as if they were therein inserted word for word. They shall be ratified, and the Ratifications shall be exchanged at London, in 2 months, or sooner if possible.

In witness whereof, the respective Plenipotentiaries have signed the same, and have thereunto affixed the Seal of their Arms.

In the name of Almighty God! Be it known unto all Men by these presents, that whereas His Most Sacred Majesty George the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, Duke of Brunswick and Lunenburgh, Arch-Treasurer and Prince Elector of the Holy Roman Empire, &c. on one part, and the Serene and Powerful Princes Frederick Eugene, Reigning Duke of Wirtemberg, and Frederick William, Hereditary Prince of Wirtemberg, on the other, have judged it proper, as well for the strengthening of that friendship which has so long subsisted between the Crown of Great Britain and the House of Wirtemberg, as for the good of the Protestant Religion, to contract a more strict Alliance between the 2 Families, by celebrating, with the consent of the Parties interested, a Mar riage between the Most High and Illustrious Princess Charlotte Augusta Matilda, eldest Daughter of the said King of Great Britain, and the said Serene Prince Frederick William, Hereditary Prince of Wirtemberg: in order therefore to attain so desirable an end,
