House bill No. 438 (file No. 226), entitled

A bill to require all officers, boards, commissions or departments of the State government to turn over to the State Treasurer at least once each month, all fees or other moneys legally collected by such officer, board, commission or department; and to provide for the disbursing of such money under the warrant of the Auditor General.

House bill No. 367 (file No. 227), entitled

A bill to amend section 29 of Act No. 182 of the Public Acts of 1885, entitled "An act to provide for the appointment of a State Live Stock Sanitary Commission and a State Veterinarian, and to prescribe their powers and duties, and to prevent and suppress contagious and infectious diseases among the live stock of the State," as amended by Act No. 19 of the Public Acts of 1915.

House bill No. 284 (file No. 269), entitled

A bill making appropriations for the State Board of Fish Commissioners, for current expenses, and for building and special purposes for the fiscal years ending June 30, 1918, and June 30, 1919, and to provide a tax to meet the same.

Senate bill No. 250 (file No. 232), entitled

A bill to apply the principles of the budget system, the principles of economy and efficiency, and of farthest reaching success, to the operation of State institutions, by creating the Michigan State Board of Administration.

A bill to amend section 1 of chapter 12 of Act No. 3 of the Public Acts of 1895, entitled "An act to provide for the incorporation of villages within the State of Michigan, and defining their powers and duties," being section 2775 of the Compiled Laws of 1915.

A bill to amend section 14 of chapter 3 of Act No. 314 of the Public Acts of 1915, entitled "An act to revise and consolidate the statutes relating to the organization and jurisdiction of the courts of this State; the powers and duties of such courts, and of the judges and other officers thereof; the forms of civil actions; the time within which civil actions and proceedings may be brought in said courts; pleading, evidence, practice and procedure in civil actions, and proceedings in said courts; to provide remedies and penalties for the violation of certain provisions of this act; and to repeal all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with or contravening any of the provisions of this act," being section 12242 of the Compiled Laws of 1915.

The Committee on Public Health, by Mr. Hulse, Chairman, reported Senate bill No. 140 (file No. 99), entitled

A bill to amend sections 11 and 12 of Act No. 98 of the Public Acts of 1913, entitled "An act providing for the supervision and control by the State Board of Health over water works systems and sewage disposal systems and providing for the appointment, duties, salary and expenses of a State Sanitary Engineer, and providing penalties and defining liabilities for violations of this act and to repeal Act No. 28 of the Public Acts of 1909," being compilers' sections 5034 and 5035 of the Compiled Laws of 1915, and to add a new section thereto to be known as section 14,

With the recommendation that the bill pass.

The report was accepted and the committee discharged.

Senate bill No. 204 (file No. 198), entitled

A bill to authorize highway officials to close roads under construction, improvement or repair, or any portion of a highway whereon a bridge is being constructed or repaired; to require such officials to place in good repair and to mark by proper signs suitable detours around roads, or portions of roads, which are closed hereunder; to provide suitable barriers, and lights shall be maintained at the end of such roads or portions of roads which are thus closed and at the intersections thereof with other roads; to require the removal of signs and barriers located and placed hereunder; and to provide a penalty for a violation of the provisions hereof.
