THE ensuing pages have been put together for the purpose of affording the reader a concise view of the law as applicable to copyhold property, comprising under that term land of customary freehold, and ancient demesne tenure. The recent statutes affecting real property, particularly those for the abolition of fines and recoveries, and for the amendment of the laws with respect to wills, have made very considerable alterations with reference to copyhold property; and it seems probable that this property will ere long be made the subject of some further legislative measures, the Attorney General having, in July last, given notice of a bill on the subject.
