An act to provide for the continuance of the recompilation and copying of the records in the office of the Adjutant General pertaining to the enlistment, muster, history, and final disposition of the soldiers or sailors from this State during the war of the rebellion, and to make an appropriation therefor. dred and six of act number two hundred of the public acts
of eighteen hundred and ninety-one, entitled "An act to pro-
vide for the assessment of property and the levy of taxes
thereon, and for the collection of taxes heretofore and here-
after levied, and to repeal act number one hundred and
ninety-five of the session laws of one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-nine, except as provided in this act, and all other
acts or parts of acts in anywise contravening any of the pro-

An act to authorize the cities and villages of this State to acquire by purchase or condemnation all the rights of toll and plank road companies in the streets and avenues of such cities and villages and to authorize such toll or plank road companies to sell such portions of their roads or franchises as lie within such cities or villages to any city or village in which the same may be located.
